Argentina: Activity in Buenos Aires in Support of Lxs Compxs in $hile

On Thursday the 17th, upon completion of 25 days of the hunger strike, from Buenos Aires, we decided to support our comrades kidnapped by the Chilean State. We descended on the Chilean consulate with banners and leaflets and blocked the roads, reading speeches from a megaphone in front of the consulate and surrounding areas. Then we went to Florida street, where we gave out leaflets to people passing by, explaining the situation that our comrades are living under, many people were supportive. With this humble activity we showed that solidarity has no borders, and even from a distance place we support our imprisoned comrades.

Noise Bomb Set Off in Viña del Mar (Chile)

An explosive noise bomb exploded in hours of this night (3/20/11) against the Chilean-North American Institute in Viña del Mar, located on Calle 2 Oriente 385.

The device caused a loud noise and smoke emission, but so far it is unknown whether caused other damage.

The information was transmitted to the radio for many users on Twitter, who reported that both police and fire departments were already responding.

Meanwhile, neighbors who came and saw what happened, returned to their homes.

Banner Drop Outside of the Justice Center for the Comrades on Hunger Strike

On the 16th of March before the hearing that pretends to extend the preventative
prison and investigation called “The Bomb’s Case,” we expressed solidarity with our
comrades, we hung a banner outside of the Justice Center. The banner was 10m long
and 3m high and said: “Freedom to the Bomb’s Case prisoners on hunger strike.”

Despite the constant campaign of repression carried out by the State, prosecutors,
police and the press, which pretend to weaken solidarity actions and isolate
comrades in prison, the possibility of acting under their noses is evident.

It is necessary to proliferate the drive for solidarity whose aim is the freedom of
the prisoners who without a doubt understand it for themselves.

Strength and encouragement to comrades Andrea Urzúa, Camilo Pérez, Carlos Riveros,
Felipe Guerra, Francisco Solar, Mónica Caballero, Vinicio Aguilera, Omar Hermosilla
y Rodolfo Retamales, on hunger strike since February 21st as well as those who
learned to fly away from the cages, we send a warm embrace.

We send greetings to all of those who have made solidarity more than words around
the world. Until every cage is opened!

PRISONERS TO THE STREET.

Solidarity from Philadelphia (USA)

Tonight (3/17/11) a bank was attacked and windows cracked when several bricks were thrown at it. We wish we could have done more, but we were just feeling it at the moment and did what we could with a small window of opportunity. You should know by now why these things happen, in addition to the fact that it’s fucking fun to have brief moments where we can feel a small sense of freedom. Much love from the east coast to our friends in Oly, Seattle, Greece, Chile, and everywhere else holding it down. More to come from us here.

It’s getting warm again Philly, bring out them flash mobs.

Solidarity from Vancouver (Canada)

On the night of March 15th, the front of the probation office on Commercial Drive, Coast Salish Territories (Vancouver), was covered with the messages: “Prisoners to the Street!” “Fuck the Police!” and the circle A. Large new signs installed on Commercial Drive to help tourists find their way were completely obscured by paint as well.

A small act in solidarity with comrades in prison on hunger strike in Chile and with comrades in the Puget Sound fighting the police!

We Will Not Bend

As predicted by previous demonstrations, this Wednesday’s march ended up being a battlefield.

A little context, although the images speak for themselves, the atmosphere started out hostile. Before the march began, the tinku (radical dance troupe)- once again acting in solidarity with the comrades- were warned by the police that they could only protest in place, they could dance and play music, but if they started marching they would be arrested. Guess what happened. The tinku started to dance and began to move and along with the other people attending the demonstration seconded them and formed a march full of banners and signs, but were surrounded by police who- as is their custom- filmed and photographed every step. The march had not even gone a block when a guanaco (the police armored vehicle that sprays tear gas) came from behind and began to spray those in the march as well as those just sitting or playing chess in Plaza de Armas.

Some people ran and others took the streets, screaming for the comrades. Streets and intersections were taken for over 20 minutes, transforming traffic into a large line of cars and buses. There were 8 comrades detained and taken to the police station, where the special forces took a picture of each of them. Nevertheless after refusing to sign for the cause of their detention -public disorder- they were allowed to go and are now back in the street.

Our pain is gigantic but it does not consume us and today’s demonstration of solidarity was a faithful reflection of disgust of the laws that trap our brothers and sisters in prison today: we still desire their freedom, and long to see them in the street, shake their hands that are full of strength. After everything today, we found out today that the A14 hearing was suspended under the ridiculous pretext of a shortage of time, guarantee, and an appropriate place, while all of these things could be arranged beforehand with the innumerable resources of the state.

It is not necessary to call for solidarity with the comrades…
WE ARE THAT SOLIDARITY.

“Prisons are centers of extermination and torture…Prisoners to the streets!!!”

Chile: Brutal Police Repression at a benefit show for the 14A in Valparaiso

We denounce the brutal and unjustified repression carried out by the carabineros agianst the comrades who organized a concert/discussion for the 14A. Around 100 people gathered at the Local Union of Employees of Bahia in Valpariso for the show which had remained peaceful the entire night when at one in the morning, the carbineros violently interrupted it without provocation. Using force and intimidation, they took everything that had been on sale in order to gather solidarity funds for our comrades held hostage by the Chilean state. Besides the use of force, insults, and requisitioning of the items for sale, 20 comrades were taken away under the lie that “they were found drunk on a public street,” though the show was off of the main street and none of the attending comrades were intoxicated as the discussion/show was an act of solidarity not a party. The carabineros, after kicking our comrades off the premises, brought 3 police cars and a group of 15 carabineros who filmed and took pictures of our comrades.

We denounce these actions taken by the carabineros which has made the intentions and provocation of the carabineros clear, they are in constant communication with the special services of the carabineros and were hoping we would respond violently in order to justify their actions. This has made it clear to us that we will not stop acting in solidarity with the 14 comrades kidnapped by the Chilean state even though it will cost us repression, our promise for real justice in Chile and for the freedom of our comrades will remain permanent before the montage carried out by the Chilean state. No more lies, no more montages, no more repression.

Freedom for all those prisoners who fight.
Freedom for the 14 kidnapped Anarchist comrades kidnapped by the Chilean state.
Freedom for our peñis (Mapuche brothers) also kidnapped by the Chilean state.
Freedom for our Commander Ramiro (FPMR)
Freedom to all the internationalists and libertarians of our America
A greeting in solidarity to all of our comrades who played and participated at the show.
An embrace filled with struggle and promise.

We call for SOLIDARITY, may the strikes of power never stop ACTIVE SOLIDARITY, in all of its forms!
Remember what out comrades demand on HUNGER STRIKE:
IMMEDIATE FREEDOM!
AN END TO THE JUDICIAL-POLICE FARCE!
AN END TO THE INVESTIGATION AND AN IMMEDIATE TRIAL!
NO PROCESSING THROUGH THE ANTI-TERRORIST LAW, ABOLISH THIS DICTATORIAL LAW!
