Today marks the completion of 50 days of the hunger strike and almost 8 months in prison that the imprisoned comrades of the 14 of August , under the frame up known as the “Bombs Case”. They have created a condition with their bodies that is increasingly difficult to deal with as the days pass, each of them as lost between 24 and 26 pounds. The lack of food is supplemented by the daily psychological treatment they experience from the prison itself.
Today, a group of comrades let them know that they are not alone and that their struggle is also our struggle. As an act of propaganda, they got onto a traffic signal several feet high on a busy avenue in the capital, with banners related to the hunger strike, throwing leaflets and chanting for the comrades freedom.
Below, another group of comrades shouted and handed out counterinformation on the situation of imprisoned comrades. As expected, the guardians of the capital arrived and kidnapped a total of 16 people, including those who put the banners up. They were taken to the police station and later moved to the jail were they were to appear before “justice”.
Solidarity is today, no, in all of its form, spaces and languages, because prison society threatens the lives of all of us.
